RevRoad To Host 5th Annual Entrepreneur Competition in 2022

The Entrepreneur Competition is Sponsored by Central Bank, with over $14,500 in cash prize money for winning entrepreneurs

PROVO, Utah — On Saturday, September 17th, 2022, Utah County’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs will gather at the UVU Keller Business Building in Orem, Utah to pitch their companies to a panel of judges composed of some of Utah’s finest business and university leaders including James & Andrea Clarke, Clint Berry, Tara Spalding, Rachelle Morris, and Scott Petersen.

The RevRoad Annual Entrepreneur Competition, sponsored by Central Bank, provides aspiring business leaders the opportunity to build confidence by pitching their businesses and networking with other successful entrepreneurs. It also encourages community members to come support their local startups, network and cast their vote for the Fan Favorite award. 

Applications closed on Saturday, August 13th at 11:59 PM. Each participant completed a thorough application process; criteria include target market, problem/solution fit, team and advisors, leadership, traction, competitive advantage, financials, and more. The judges selected the top 36 as semifinalists to attend the trade show event on Saturday, September 17th. Those 36 will be whittled down to the top 6 finalists who will then compete in a pitch-off for the grand prize, runner-up prize, and 3rd place prize. 

The cash prizes will be awarded as follows:

  • $10,000 cash for the Winner
    (Cash prizes are NOT tied to an investment or equity.)
  • $2,500 cash for the Runner-Up
    (Cash prizes are NOT tied to an investment or equity.)
  • $1,000 cash for the 3rd place prize
    (Cash prizes are NOT tied to an investment or equity.)

This free event is open to the public, and community members are invited to participate by voting for the Fan Favorite. The company that receives the most community votes will receive: 

  • $1,000 cash prize for the Fan Favorite
    (Cash prizes are NOT tied to an investment or equity.)

James Clarke, member of the 2021 judge panel and Founder Trustee of the Labor and Honor Foundation, said, “I first look for a team that has depth and breadth, and excitement and passion about what they are doing.
